victoria's surf coast
Over the past twelve months, artist Karen Pegg and pilot Lindy Lee took to the skies in Lindy’s Cessna aircraft to record and share with us their experience of nature’s changing patterns and human activity around Victoria’s Surf Coast Shire.
Taken in-flight above the Great Ocean Road and surrounds from Torquay to Lorne, Karen’s photographs showcase moments in time, life on inland farms, the dense forests of the Otway Ranges, magnificent beaches and rolling seas.
Expansive resorts and golf courses, swimming, surfing, cycling, and music events are captured on camera.
A special region we are privileged to share with each other and the natural world.

Artist Karen Pegg and pilot Lindy Lee live in the picturesque Barrabool Hills west of Geelong. In October, these two adventurous neighbours combined their talents to create a uniqe photographic record of natural and manmade events patterning the land and seascapes of their region from the air. Over the following twelve months, Lindy piloted her aircraft with Karen strapped in beside her, door open, to train her camera on the panorama below. We earth bound inhabitants are now privileged to share their fascinating bird's eye view south of Melbourne from Wyndham Vale, along the western shores of Port Phillip Bay to vibrant Geelong, its hinterland, Corio Bay and the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula.
